Who can apply?

Lectures and seminars are held in Norwegian, as a main rule. Applicants must therefore have a fairly good command of the Norwegian language.

Applicants must be financed by their own educational institution. The applicant must  be a PhD Candidate at one of the network’s institutions. The applicant must be admitted to an established PhD program, or be in process for such admission, by an institution that offers doctoral degree programs. A prospective NAFOL student has a PhD project which is thematically related to teacher education and/or professional practice.

Why apply?

NAFOL is organized in addition to, and in cooperation with, the regular doctoral course, to give a special group of PhD Candidates a closer, more systematic and targeted follow-up. The programme consists of PhD courses, workshops, conferences, tutor training and study abroad. It will be possible to apply for financial support for participation in the above-mentioned activities during the fellowship period.
